Greetings dear reader,
I am a practicing counsel in Delhi with a creative's heart and an writer's brain thrown in the mix. I started blogging in the fourth year of my law school somewhere in 2011 and have been using Blogger to vent ever since. Might I share, it has been a reinvigorating journey of introspection and self discovery ever since.
“The Pen is mightier than the sword”
The whole concept of advocacy is based upon the above mentioned phrase. Frankly, my own pursuit for a career in law was to an extent inspired from the same.
However now that I am already well on to the path of my ambitious endeavor, I realize that there is another, a more subtle aspect to the word ‘advocacy’. This essentially involves giving back to the community by advocating for a worthy cause when you see one. My pursuit with this blog would be a move towards that very direction.
Now however formalistic the above introduction might seem, I really don’t want the blog posts herein to remain restricted just to legal write-ups, rather I also intend this to be a forum for journalistic and other finer artistic creations especially non-legal fiction and non-fiction (Just to ensure that you don’t mark me as a perpetual bore and to keep things chirpy!).
In exploration of these other more creative interests, I also publish a web comic series from time to time titled 'The Jacket Potatoes'. Believe it or not this madcap experiment draws its inspiration from real life! Although this has been on the table for a long time now, it is only recently that I could really muster myself to get on with it and get it going. (Obviously discounting its airy presence in my dreams!).
Phew… that seems to be loads of promises to keep, so as I said earlier, just to keep things real let’s get down to business…cuz all said and done I do believe that 'an author's pen is his best introduction.'
